CC Certified in Cybersecurity Study Guide is an entry-level certification preparation book by cybersecurity educator Mike Chapple, published in the Sybex Study Guide series. It is designed around the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity credential and addresses the foundational knowledge expected of candidates entering cybersecurity work or formal study. Rather than treating security as a collection of isolated technical tools, the guide organizes its coverage around the exam domains and the relationships among governance, risk, resilience, identity controls, networks, and daily security operations. Full-color illustrations are used to support explanation, and the book includes access to an online practice test. Its purpose is therefore dual: to help readers prepare systematically for the CC examination and to establish vocabulary and reasoning habits useful beyond an exam setting. The level is introductory, but the subject matter is enterprise-oriented. Readers are asked to understand why controls exist, what kinds of risks they address, and how organizational processes connect technical safeguards to business needs.
